EPSRC Big Ideas

A new initiative to encourage adventurous and exciting ideas from researchers and innovators has been introduced by EPSRC. Named 'EPSRC Big Ideas' it aims to develop a pipeline of ideas, at varied stages of development, to be ready for external funding opportunities as they arise.
EPSRC Big Ideas does not have dedicated funding available, and is not a call for proposals. EPSRC Big Ideas are those that are hard to achieve, require significant support (financial, people, skills) to make them possible and have ground-breaking impacts.
For further information, please visit the EPSRC Big Ideas page.

Join the EPSRC Peer Review College

Peer review is the single most important element in EPSRC’s grant assessment process, helping us ensure that only the highest quality proposals are recommended for funding. The college broadly represents the research community it serves, it contains a spread of expertise covering the full breadth of the EPSRC remit. The college maintains an appropriate balance of age, gender, and ethnicity to reflect the wider research community, as well as a mix of academic and non-academic backgrounds, and geographic locations.
We are currently inviting researchers from business and academia to apply to join the EPSRC Associate Peer review College. Members sit on assessment panels and provide independent reviews of proposals within their remit of expertise and will receive full training and fees and expenses where applicable.
