The RSPB’s Big Garden Birdwatch takes place from Friday 24 to Sunday 26 January. It’s the world’s largest garden wildlife survey. Every year, hundreds of thousands of nature lovers like you take part, helping to build a picture of how garden birds are faring.
Wild birds are a key indicator of the health of our ecosystem and with the World Wildlife Fund reporting that wildlife populations have fallen by 73% between 1970 and 2020 it is important to keep monitoring local wildlife in the hope we can stop this decline.
