Cleansing Operative - Seaton and Axminster

About the role
We are seeking a full-time StreetScene Mobile Operative to join our Seaton and Axminster team based out of our depot in Sidmouth. Working *41.5 hours / week in summer and 32.5 hours / week in winter (an average of 37 hours / week Friday to Tuesday inclusive) you will predominantly deal with maintaining our outstanding environment through street cleansing (litter picking / emptying bins), cleaning public lavatories, general grounds maintenance, and other general duties as required.
About you
You will need to be able to work diligently with minimal supervision, including some public holidays. You must have practical experience in a cleansing role and you'll need to be able to work the varying winter / summer pattern. A valid driver licence is essential, and a category C1 C1E or C driving licence (or B licence issued prior to Jan 1997) would be a distinct advantage. Regeneration Officer (Place and Prosperity)

Description: About the role
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated placemaking/regeneration professional with experience of delivering successful placemaking and development projects. In this exciting and varied role, you will support the delivery of investment in placemaking projects and secure the best use of the Council's asset base within the market and coastal towns of East Devon. You will be responsible for identifying needs and opportunities for placemaking interventions in the District and seeking out funding opportunities, as well as delivering small projects and contributing to more complex placemaking and development projects.
About you
We are a team that delivers and we are seeking someone who has the drive to makes things happen. You will have relevant knowledge of a diverse range of placemaking improvement policies and practices as well as practical experience delivering successful and meaningful community engagement activities. You will also enjoy the challenge of working with others to problem solve and be able to bring tact and diplomacy to discussions where finding compromise is necessary to achieve the end goal. Good time management skills and excellent project management skills are essential so you can successfully move our projects forward towards delivery. You will also have experience in managing or supporting external funding applications and commissioning studies from advisors. You may have a property, planning, development or economic development background in terms of your education and/or experience, and may have other transferrable skills that can help the team deliver its placemaking objectives.

We are seeking a full-time StreetScene Mobile Operative to join our Budleigh, Cranbrook and Outer District team based out of our Exmouth Depot. Working *41.5 hours / week in summer and 32.5 hours / week in winter (an average of 37 hours / week Monday to Friday) you will predominantly deal with with maintaining our outstanding environment through emptying public bins, cleaning public toilets, street cleaning and sweeping. In addition, you will support the grounds team in grass mowing, strimming and general grounds maintenance when required.
About you
You will need to be able to work diligently with minimal supervision, including on public holidays. You must have practical experience in a grounds maintenance role and you'll need to be able to work a varying winter / summer pattern. A valid driver licence is essential, and a category C1 C1E or C driving licence (or B licence issued prior to Jan 1997) would be a distinct advantage.
