About the role:
The primary function of our Property & Asset team is to deliver a decent home for all and to maintain our housing stock to a high standard. We want to ensure our housing stock is compliant with all statutory regulations and are safe and secure homes to live in. We have approximately 4,200 properties including houses, bungalow and flats, garages, houses of multiple occupancy, community centres and communal grounds. As a result of growth and increase in industry demand we have built a new Compliance Team; we are looking for an Asbestos & Radon Compliance Surveyor with experience and knowledge in this industry along with and general compliance. You will be expected to analyse data from surveys, in conjunction with the current asbestos register ensuring compliance with industry regulations and our wider Asbestos and Radon policies.
About you:
As one of our dedicated surveyors you will be proactive and able to make informed decisions based on your industry knowledge and expertise. You will be a data driven, self-starter who is able to manage your time effectively and work with others collaboratively, using excellent communications skills to develop effective working relationships with colleagues, contractors and, most importantly, our residents and customers. You will have an HNC or equivalent in a building related subject and P405 or equivalent qualification in managing asbestos in premises. About the role:
We are looking for a customer-focused individual to join our dynamic repairs team. As a Housing Repairs Advisor, you'll be the main point of contact dealing with repairs requests from our tenants. You will also liaise between our technical officers and contractors to forward requests and determine timescales for the work to be undertaken. In addition, you'll also provide administration support to the Housing Repairs Customer Service Manager which will include processing invoices and maintaining accurate and up to records on our housing stock condition and programmed works projects.
About you:
This is a busy team and you'll need to be motivated, organised and efficient to deal with the volume of enquiries via phone or email. You will be able to work on your own initiative as well as being part of a supportive team. With a good standard of general education and good attention to detail, you will also be resilient and calm under pressure with excellent customer service skills. Previous administrative experience is essential as is use of a variety of systems, although full training will be given on our Open Housing system.
