PBIP Applications are now open |

The Place Based Investment Programme is a five year Scottish Government Investment programme, aiming to support town centre revitalisation and community led regeneration by ensuring that all place based investments are shaped by the needs and aspirations of local communities.
The 2024/25 PBIP fund is now open for applicants and will have an indicative allocation of £792,000 which is still to be confirmed by the Scottish Government.
East Ayrshire Council is inviting applications for year four projects that support community led projects which are reflected in local Community Action Plans, Place Plans, community engagement activity or through other community led regeneration work.
Applications can be submitted online from Monday 29 January until Sunday 31 March.

For this year of the PBIP fund there will be an indicative allocation of £792,000, which is still to be confirmed by the Scottish Government.
There will also be no minimum or maximum cap. You can apply for as little or as much as you like. However, before deciding how much to apply for, applicants are strongly advised to adopt a 'share the love' mindset showing empathy, compassion, and recognising that the fund is to deliver for all of East Ayrshire, all of its communities and intends to make as many ideas come to fruition as possible.
Applications that demonstrate collaboration and partnership have been considered and that have also adopted a 'share the love' mind-set will be welcomed and considered favourably in the assessment process.

In preparation for Place Based Investment Programme (PBIP) applications opening on Monday 29 January, the Community Led Regeneration Team ran two very successful Love Local PBIP 2024 conferences on Monday 22 January at The Howard Centre in Kilmarnock and on Thursday 25 January at Dalmellington Community Centre.
Focussing on the Place Based Improvement Programme fund, the conference invited community groups to come along and hear from previously successful groups, to learn about their experience with PBIP and how they went about delivering their project.
