Join us for 16 Days of Action Against Gender-Based Violence as we launch our campaign on Saturday 25 November.
We have an informative and inclusive programme of events and activities planned in East Ayrshire to mark the campaign. Many are open to the public; please take part and support the call for an end to violence against women and girls.
 Reclaim the Night Walk
Tuesday 5 December 5pm – 7pm Ayrshire College, Hill Street, Kilmarnock
Join us outside Ayrshire College at 5pm for Reclaim the Night, where we’ll be marching through Kilmarnock town centre to take a stand against gender-based violence.
Come along and take back our streets as safe places for women and girls!
Schedule
- 5pm – 5.30pm: meet at Ayrshire College, tea and coffee will be available
- 5.30pm – 6pm: depart to walk route
- 6pm – 6.15pm: muster at Burns Mall
- finish route through Kilmarnock centre.

 Hystayria screening – the ageless persecution of women
Wednesday 6 December 5pm – 7pm Visitor Centre, Dean Castle Country Park, Kilmarnock
A thought-provoking drama based on real stories of Ayr’s barbaric witch trials. We invite you to Dean Castle Country Park for a viewing of this powerful film, which will be followed by a Q&A session.
The film is presented by South Ayrshire community group, the Time Team.
The film will begin at 6pm but please come along at 5pm for tea, coffee and cake.
