If you currently live or own property within the conservation area you could be eligible for funding support in restoring your property.
Mauchline CARS Project is a heritage-led regeneration scheme funded by Historic Environment Scotland and East Ayrshire Council. The scheme gives property owners within the Mauchline Conservation Area the opportunity to apply for grant funding for building repairs, re-instatement of architectural detail and, shop front improvements.
To become eligible for support it is important to complete an online Expression of Interest. Completing this will then enable us to arrange an initial meeting to discuss your property and required repairs with yourself and offer advice on the best funding available.
Grants available include:

Large Building Repair Grants of up to 90% of eligible costs for Priority Building Projects.

Small Building Repair & Shopfront Improvement Grants for properties within the main commercial areas - grant rate of 75% of eligible costs, up to a maximum of £25,000.

Small Grants for the re-instatement of architectural detail - grant rate of 75% of eligible costs up to a maximum of £15,000.
