Mauchline Community, Friends and Partners,
It is hard to believe that we are nearly at the end of 2021. It has been a very busy and productive year behind the scenes for the Mauchline Conservation Area Regeneration Scheme (CARS).
During this year we have been able to progress many of our initial Expressions of Interest forward to their design stage. We have collaborated with Mauchline Primary School and the Creative Minds Team to produce the “Rabbie Road” Project and so much more. Read on to find out more.
My name is Darran Littauer-Dolan and I am your new Project Officer for Mauchline Conservation Area Regeneration Scheme (CARS), following the retirement of Lynn Rew.
Previously I employed by Glasgow City Council, I have a degree in Urban & Regional Planning and qualifications in Architectural Conservation, Interior Design and Graphic Communication. I have a keen interest in restoring and conserving buildings having carried out a number of my own housing restorations. I have moved into a traditional house in the town [Not in the Conservation Area] which I have plans to restore.
I cannot wait to start seeing the restoration works begin in our town it really is an exciting time for Mauchline. I would like to thank all members of the community for their interest in the project and again to those who have expressed their interest in restoring our beautiful and historic town’s buildings.
Yours sincerely,

SYMPATHIES
It is with a heavy heart that the CARS Team send their condolences to both the Holliday and Haining families and their friends following the passing of both Mrs Holliday and Mr Haining.
Mrs Holliday and Mr Haining had separately worked closely with the CARS Team and they will both be sorely missed.
