We need your help!
Do you or any of your family members have any East Ayrshire Council or NHS equipment in your home that you no longer need?
If so, we can take the equipment back for cleaning and refurbishment so that it can be reused or recycled for spare parts.
This might be equipment that was issued to you by an Occupational Therapist, District Nurse or Hospital Department (such as a walking frame or shower seat) or a community alarm unit (a small unit with Tunstall/Chubb or Telealarm written on it).
For uplift of East Ayrshire Council equipment please call 01563 554200. This applies to equipment such as:
- toilet frames
- kitchen trolleys
- shower seats and stools
- riser recliner chairs
- community alarms
For NHS equipment please call 01292 885999. This applies to equipment such as:
- cushions
- commodes
- steadys
- hoists
- slings
- Repose mattress and cushion sets
Walking aids can be handed into any hospital setting, including:
- University Hospital Crosshouse
- University Hospital Ayr
- East Ayrshire Community Hospital
- Girvan Community Hospital
Wheelchairs are usually provided by WestMARC who can be contacted on 0300 790 0129, although they can also be provided by some community teams.
