Dudley Council's public health team wins award for cost-of-living support
|
|
Dudley Council’s public health team has been recognised for its work to support vulnerable residents with the rising cost of living at the West Midlands Public Health Awards.
The team received the Commissioning Project of the Year for their partnership with Citizens Advice Dudley and Wolverhampton on four Cost of Living Support Hubs based in Dudley borough.
Supported by a mix of council employees and dedicated local volunteers, the hubs offer guidance to residents on saving money, maximising income, and reducing energy use to keep fuel costs as low as possible.
Residents are also able to receive Household Support Fund payments, fuel vouchers and food bank coupons at the sites, as well as referrals to the Black Country ICB for support with digital devices and skills.
More information on cost of living support in Dudley is available on the Dudley Council website.
