Kearsney Parks Success

Our second round bid to the Heritage Lottery Fund and Big Lottery Fund for the Kearsney Parks has been successful! We've secured £3m to restore and improve Kearsney Abbey and Russell Gardens and develop activities to help people engage with this unique heritage. We'll also be hosting more events, such as the recent Farm and Forest Activity Day

New Look Play Area In Deal

Work is set to take place this autumn on a new-look skate park for Sandwich.  New-look facilities are set to be installed at The Butts Recreation Ground following close partnership work with the local community, with some fantastic feedback and fundraising from the Streetside Community Group.

Children are enjoying new-look play areas in William Pitt Avenue and Wilson Avenue in Deal following a £129k investment in new facilities at the sites, (pictured).

Dover Skills and Business Expo

The Dover Skills and Business Expo is at Dover Town Hall on Tuesday 15 November, from 9am-3pm. Whether you're a job seeker, student or local business, the event will showcase developments, companies, education and skills providers in the district.

Dover District is being transformed with town centre and waterfront regeneration, new commercial space, and a major house building programme.  We want local people and companies to share in this growth with new jobs and business opportunities.

If you’re interested in the future of NHS services in the area – why not join your local health network?

Run by NHS South Kent Coast Clinical Commissioning Group, the Health Network is a virtual group of patients, members of the public and voluntary groups from Deal, Dover and Shepway. It gives local people the opportunity to find out more, have their say and help shape health services in the area.
