Happy Independence Day Wednesday 24 August 2022
Ukrainian flags will be flown on five key Council buildings across the region and Dumfries and Galloway Council Headquarters in English Street Dumfries will be lit up in blue and yellow to acknowledge this important day for our Ukrainian guests. The Resettlement Project is sharing messages on social media and through the local press and are also suggesting that local citizens and guests could make their own blue and yellow Ukrainian flag and perhaps display it in their windows to show their support.
