An introduction from the Loreburn Head Teacher, Lesley Watson

Architects appointed

BDP has been appointed as the successful design team for the Loreburn build project. The company was appointed following presentations to Council officers and the Head Teacher last month. 

BDP’s vision is to be the world’s leading integrated architecture, engineering and design firm, delivering world class solutions which enhance the communities they serve. They have a reputation for the design of exemplar places of learning, illustrated by their award-winning schools. 

BDP has been involved with a number of design and delivery of a number of education projects across Scotland including:

• Ayr Grammar
• Maidenhill Primary School and Nursery
• Marr College
• Eastwood High School

BDP has already started a series of consultation workshops involving primary pupils, high school pupils and staff. The purpose is to gather a range of views on the current school environment and facilities, what they would like from new facilities and the extended possibilities. These views will feed into the design proposals from BDP.
