Coronavirus testing FOR EVERYONE in Dumfries and Galloway
REGULAR TESTING IS ONE OF THE WAYS YOU CAN KEEP EVERYONE AROUND YOU SAFE
People can spread the virus to others before symptoms appear. Regular testing will help drive down local COVID-19 rates and transmission by identifying positive cases more quickly.
There are now drop-in facilities across the region for anyone who is not experiencing symptoms of coronavirus but who wants to be tested.
WHERE CAN YOU GET TESTS FROM?
It is now even easier to access testing for those without symptoms in Dumfries and Galloway:
- at one of our fixed Asymptomatic Test Sites (ATS) where the staff will carry out the test
- you can collect a box of tests from our fixed testing sites and do it yourself at home
- by collecting tests from participating pharmacies
- phoning 0800 028 2816 to request a test kit to be sent to your home
- visiting the Scottish Government website for testing kits to be sent directly to you www.gov.scot/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-getting-tested/pages/no-covid-symptoms/
Even if you have been vaccinated, it is still important that you get tested regularly, particularly if you are a key worker and must attend work.
