As we come to the end of this half term, we’re celebrating the amazing work of teachers with the Teaching Awards, featuring a celebration on the BBC One Show this evening. You can find more details below on how to get involved in this year’s Teaching Awards.

This week, we reached the milestone of over 3 million rapid coronavirus tests having been conducted in schools and colleges in England since January, which is an incredible achievement. We’ve included the latest guidance on testing below.

Testing in schools and colleges

Using rapid lateral flow tests, we are identifying individuals with coronavirus in schools and colleges who do not have symptoms, which make up around a third of all cases.

Celebrating transformational teaching

Teaching Awards – apply by 12th March!

The 2021 Teaching Awards are your chance to celebrate excellence in your school or college, and recognise the difference that individuals make to young people, from a headteacher to a teaching assistant.

It’s easy to enter and the awards are open to all state and independent schools and FE colleges in England.
