Meetings/Training Days
The BCMT have a training day scheduled for Thursday 2 April 2015 at County Hall, Exeter. The day will consist of a Road Closure/TTRO presentation in the morning followed by an ELM session in the afternoon.

For the past four months or so, Lewis Sleeman has been working on the Systems Thinking project led by Simon Milner. This project is looking at the way we work, the systems and processes used throughout the organisation and challenging assumptions and thinking, current or historical, which affect what we do.

Staff Achievements and Reward Scheme (STARS) is open to all Devon Highways staff
The STARS Environment category is ideal to nominate our teams and colleagues. Has someone you know demonstrated an outstanding contribution to caring/managing our environment, and/or our natural resources? Take the opportunity to recognise a colleague/team for the work they do? If you are unable to access the STARS webpage please download the nomination form and email or post it back.
Highways Restructure
The deadline for feedback following the highway management restructure proposal is the end of this month. Everybody, whether as a team or as individuals should feedback into the process as it will have a significant impact on our service delivery in future. Your opinions are important so please engage!

Performance Management
At our last team meeting on Monday 2 March 2015 at the Hayridge Centre, Cullompton we participated in mini group workshops to develop performance management indicators and means of measuring. Please see the attached article for further information regarding these workshops i.e. the reasoning behind them and how they will be used in the future.
Barnstaple Bake Off - Round 2 Cheesecake
Following our Cake baking challenge which was a resounding success and very enjoyable to take part in, especially the tasting part of the challenge, Round 2 - Cheesecakes has now been completed. Please see the following article for further details. Warning:- Yummy Pictures attached.
Lewis' Beard
As you all may know, Lewis Sleeman very bravely shaved off his beardy friend in aid of Comic Relief 2015. An incredible amount of £700 had been raised up until last week, with the total still climbing.
