Welcome to this month's Devon Food Partnership Newsletter
Devon's Good Food Strategy is 3 years old this week. In the next few months we will be compiling our Annual Report where you will be able to see what we have achieved this year and how we are meeting the aims of Devon's Good Food Strategy 2023-28.
As always, the Devon Food Partnership is shaped by its participants and driven by the work of our dedicated working groups. While we are proudly hosted and supported by Devon County Council, the strength of our network lies in its collaborative spirit. Please get in touch if you have news to share.

Food in Community CIC
We recently visited Food in Community CIC's (FIC) innovative new food processing facility at South Devon Food Hub that promises to transform the way food waste is tackled, support farmers, and provide unique training opportunities to individuals who face barriers to employment.
FIC glean produce from farms - paying the farmers when possible and reducing on-farm food waste. They deliver over 7,000 organic veg boxes at no or reduced cost.
Based in Totnes, Food in Community CIC is the UK’s first surplus food hub, rescuing and redistributing fresh, mostly organic fruit and vegetables to charities, community groups, and households in need. It was fascinating to learn of the breadth of FIC's work, made possible by a team of dedicated staff and 200 volunteers!
Take a look at FIC's website to learn more about what they do.
