Our member self service portal has been upgraded to improve the member experience. We have completed a soft launch to tie in with the issue of the yearly personal benefit statements. The improvements include a personalised video on the individual member’s benefit statement and a financial planner to help members achieve the retirement they want.
The timing of these statements work well with Peninsula Pensions plans to support the National campaigns detailed below.
The Pension Awareness Week returns on 9th to 13th September.
Peninsula Pensions will be kick starting the week with employee webinars about the LGPS for all eligible and participating LGPS employees across the Devon and Somerset Pension Funds employers.
We would ask you to support this by alerting your employees to these webinars and allowing them time to join one of the sessions.
The sessions run for around 45 mins to allow for presentation and some questions. They will start at 9am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm and 5pm on Monday 9th September. Employees will need to sign up by completing this form.
A link to the Webinars will be sent out shortly, before the event.
The team running the national Pension Awareness Week will then be holding a variety of sessions for people to attend on the Tuesday to Thursday. You will see from the table below this also includes events for Employers.
Neither Peninsula Pensions or the Pension Awareness team are allowed to provide financial advice. We ask people to refer to the Money and Pensions Advisory Service (MaPs) consumer platform MoneyHelper – which provides free and impartial help with money and is backed by the government.
Please forward the information about these events to your staff participating or eligible for the LGPS. Thank you.
