Following the Pensions Line of 25 February 2021 we are pleased to confirm receipt of the revised strain cost factors.
For those early retirements where estimates were issued using the old factors we will honour those calculations with a retirement date of 31 May 2021 or before, provided there are no changes to either pay, hours or date of leaving used in the estimate.
Employer Self Service (ESS) has been updated and is now available for employers to process estimates again. This includes all that were on hold and any recalculations for estimates that fall outside of the guarantee period. If an employer needs help processing estimates on ESS we have guides on our website or they can contact the Employer and Communications team for assistance.
We would be grateful if those employers who have sent estimate requests to the team whilst ESS was unavailable could include these estimates in the ones they have on hold.
