ASCL Conference - 15 & 16 March 2019

DASH Offer to Devon Schools

As part of your membership of DASH we are pleased to offer one FUNDED place to Devon secondary schools to attend the ASCL Conference on 15 & 16 March 2019. The cost of your ASCL delegate ticket and B&B accommodation on Friday 15 March will be reimbursed by DASH immediately following the event. Travel arrangements are not included.

Please note that the DASH subsidy arrangement is only applicable for bookings made on or before 21 December 2018.

Who can attend?

  • 1 funded place per school site and the offer is available to Headteachers, Principals, Heads of School plus CEO / Executive Headteacher of MATs / Federations where applicable.
  • Schools are welcome to book additional colleagues and will attract the 20% group discount, but these will not be funded by DASH.

How to book your ASCL ticket:

  • Book online via the ASCL website - please remember to select the ‘multiple delegate discount rate’ option and also quote 'DASH' in the PO number space to ensure you attract the 20% group discount rate. Any queries relating to your booking should be sent to Annual.Conference@ascl.org.uk.
  • The majority of DASH colleagues book the Gold package which includes two full days of Conference plus Annual Conference Dinner on Friday 15 March (includes all keynote sessions, a choice of workshops, exhibition entry, lunch and refreshments).

Reminder | Section 175/157 Safeguarding Annual Audit - have you missed the November deadline?

Audit of Statutory Duties and Associated Responsibilities for Schools

Although the return from schools has been good this year, there are approximately 130 schools who have yet to submit their audit. The deadline for completion was 30 November 2018 - please complete and return your Safeguarding Annual Audit promptly if you haven't already done so.

Funding 43: School Budget Share Calculator 2019/20 following Devon Education Forum Outcomes

A revised version of the School Budget Share Calculator has been uploaded to the consultation page of our website (see Schools Funding Arrangements 2019/20 section) to reflect the decision made at the recent Devon Education Forum meeting around the transfer of 0.5% to the High Needs Block.
