Proud to Care
were pleased to fly the flag for collaborative working at this year’s Devon
County Show. Thanks to all the Proud to Care Ambassadors from adult
social care providers, the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust and
Devon Partnership Trust. Ambassadors had valuable conversations with the
public and we recruited our first canine Proud to Care Ambassador, Orsa, who is
training to be a therapy dog visiting people in care homes and hospitals.
On Friday 8 June Proud to Care is the overall
sponsor of the Outstanding Care Awards for Devon and Cornwall. This is an
amazing opportunity to celebrate the great work health and care professionals
do every day of the year.

The Enterprise Adviser Network is a national programme and within Devon
they are looking for senior people within local employers to be part of this
enterprise movement. You can apply your
knowledge and sector expertise to advise schools on their Careers strategy and
delivery.
This is a hugely worthwhile programme where
you will work closely with senior school leaders of a local school or college
to increase a young person’s knowledge of career opportunities, employer
encounters, and work ready skills.
The following links will give you an overview
of the key purpose of the Enterprise Network Nationally and how this is
benefiting employers and young people in other areas.
