School Funding Survey - Worth Less? Campaign
On 30 April 2018 a school funding survey was circulated to school leaders across 30 counties with the hope to attract 1000 responses. Over 1500 responses were submitted, providing a significant snapshot of the funding challenges that schools are facing. Thank you to everyone that participated.
The press release and survey were issued to the media on 8 May and also forwarded to Robert Halfon MP, chair of the Education Select Committee. This will mean that headteachers have an important “voice” within their funding inquiry.
The survey results are advertised via this L I N K. The login details are

DAPH
Executive members attend the Heads Liaison Group (HLG) meetings which take
place at County Hall with Jo Olsson (Chief Officer for Children's Services), Dawn Stabb (Head of Education and Learning) plus representatives from all
four phase associations (DAPH, DASH, DAG and Sentient Trust). These meetings
are the ideal forum for more local school issues to be raised, for example concerns around GDPR and school compliance, SEND, exclusions and school funding to name a few. In preparation for future HLG meetings we invite schools to share
any local issues with the DAPH office to take forward by our representatives. Please share via email to daph@devon.gov.uk
DAPH Representation on Working
Groups
The scope and role of DAPH within the local context is illustrated in the Working Groups Representation Chart effective for the current academic year.
When attending meetings of Devon Education Forum (DEF), its sub-groups and other statutory or working groups, DAPH Representatives provide a summary of key messages and issues affecting the primary phase.
- Details of Membership on DEF, agendas and full minutes of previous meetings and other information about DEF can be found on the DEF website

Staff Survey 2018 - Child Sexual Abuse
Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) has been a priority for DCFP during 2017-2018 and the DCFP CSA Working Group have been looking at how we can improve outcomes for children who may be at risk of sexual abuse. We issued a similar staff survey in late 2016 and gained almost 900 responses from staff and professionals across Devon.
If you work in Devon, directly or indirectly with children, please would you complete our short survey, which will help us to benchmark the current level of understanding, inform learning needs and evidence impact. Visit this link to the S U R V E Y
