Feedback from Multi Agency Early Help Improvement Baord (MAEHIB)

Feedback to schools following the meeting held on 23 January 2018 included:-

    1. All schools need to be aware there will be changes to MASH referral process in response to GDPR. Look out for information in Babcock Safeguarding and DASH updates.
    2. A significant number of schools have yet to register any users of Right for Children (replaced Holistix 12 months ago). If you need information go to www.devonsafeguardingchildren.org/latest-news-updates/right-for-children-new-early-help-it-system/
    3. All schools need to be aware of the increasing number of exclusions and the rise in appeals from parents which are being upheld by panels because schools and governors have not followed the statutory processes. Contact your local Inclusion and Integration Officer for more information.
    4. A reminder that you can contact your Locality Early Help Coordinator to access support for the family in these cases.
