Now is the time to book your place at one of our annual employer meetings. These meetings are for those staff who are responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Local
Government Pension Scheme for either the Devon or Somerset Pension Funds.
The meetings
will be held at three venues to cover the geographical catchment area for employers
within both funds:
Tuesday 23rd January 2018 at Caddsdown
Business Centre, Bideford
Wednesday 24th January 2018 at Taunton Racecourse
Thursday 25th January 2018 at Exeter

This year we are
running sessions before and after the main talks so our day will be spilt into
three sessions. If there is
someone who doesn’t usually attend these meetings but you feel they may
benefit from any of the sessions, then please
book them a space - they do not have to attend the main presentations unless
they wish to.
Session 1 - Introductory Session
10 - 10.30 am
General Overview
of the LGPS. This introductory session will provide a
general overview of the LGPS and the benefits it provides for scheme members. It's ideal for new staff or for anyone who wishes to refresh their knowledge.

Session 2 - Employer PLOG
11am to 2:30pm with a 45 minute break for lunch at 12:30pm
Employer PLOG (main presentation). The exact agenda has not yet been finalised but we will cover
the relevant changes in regulations which affect us all.
There is a limit
of two places per employer for the main presentations but it may be possible
to book more places later on.

Session 3 - Workshops
and 1-2-1 Session
The workshops will start at 3pm with an expected finish time
of 4pm.
Tea and coffee will be available on arrival from 2:30pm.

Understanding Pensionable Pay (PP), Assumed Pensionable Pay (APP) and Absences. Designed
to help you calculate PP, APP and what you need to do when an
employee is absent.

2 - Employer Responsibilities. What you need to know and what you need to do ideal
for new staff who need to know what to do for pensions administration of the
LGPS or for anyone wishing to refresh their knowledge in this area.
