School Leadership Support Service (SLSS) seminar
‘Social Media in Schools’
2.00pm on Friday 17 November 2017 at the Tiverton Hotel, Tiverton
Following on from the
DAPH Autumn Briefing, a seminar has been organised for delegates who are interested
in hearing about the risks and challenges of social media in schools.
The use of social media by schools continues to be a hot topic - done well,
social media can enhance the learning experience of students, improve
communications with parents and serve as an effective yet inexpensive marketing
tool. Despite the many benefits to using social media, in practice there are
also a number of challenges and risks that your senior leadership team should
be prepared for.
Aimed at Head Teachers and senior leaders, this seminar looks
at the pros and cons of social media and focuses on ways you can mitigate the
risks in your school. This session will be delivered by Russell Holland – Barrister in
Michelmores' Education team and will last one hour including time for Q&A.
There is no cost to attend.
