Launch of Schools Funding 2018-19 Devon Consultation
The Schools
Funding 2018-19 Devon Consultation is now L
I V E and we
would encourage all schools to consider proposals from the Local Authority to implement funding locally pending the
transition towards a National Funding Formula by 2020.
Following
the DfE announcement in mid-September together with the publication of notional
funding levels at individual school level, the Local Authority has now received
the underlying data and overall level of funding for Devon.
Whilst
Devon’s overall Schools budget for 2018-19 will see an increase of £7.5
million, this year’s consultation will be more complex than usual around LA
proposals to create the least amount of turbulence during the 2 year transition
period from a Local to National Funding Formula.
The
consultation documentation provides full details of the proposals together with
an online Budget calculator. Further explanation will be provided together with
the opportunity for discussion and questions at the forthcoming
Funding Consultation Briefing events (details below) being held later this
week which we would encourage you to attend.
The consultation will
run from Monday 16th October and close at noon on Wednesday 1st
November 2017.
