School Funding Reform 2018-19, Information Sharing and Consultation Events

The Schools Funding 2018-19 Consultation will be launched on Monday 16th October - please book on one of the dates below

Message from Dawn Stabb  |  Head of Education & Learning

You may be aware that the DfE published its ‘Operational Guidance for Schools revenue funding 2018 to 2019’ in early August, which was later than initially expected (w/c 17th July).  Although this guidance provided a lot of information on changes for the new financial year, it is not complete and we still do not know the final monetary value for Devon, or have access to the full data set behind the total.  We understand this is intended to be published during September.

The Local Authority and Phase Associations are determined to ensure all the appropriate data can be included within the information produced for schools’ consideration so that a meaningful consultation can take place. The start of the consultation period has therefore been delayed, but will run from Monday 16th October to Wednesday 1st November.

The dates and venues for the consultation events will take place as follows :

Wednesday 18 October - CENTRAL - Sandy Park Conference Centre
2.00pm - 4.30pm and 6.00pm - 8.00pm

Friday 20 October - NORTH - The Barnstaple Hotel
10.00am - 12.30pm

Tuesday 31 October - SOUTH - Buckfast Abbey Conference Centre
12.30pm - 3.00pm

HOW TO BOOK
Booking is essential and via the ONLINE BOOKING FORM

Immediately after the School Funding Consultation events, Dawn Stabb, Head of Education and Learning and colleagues from HR One will be available to provide information on how LA Maintained schools are able to access the DCC Apprenticeship Fund.

Delegates should arrive and register 15 minutes prior to the start times above.  Tea and coffee will be available on arrival.

We look forward to engaging with schools during the forthcoming consultation period.
