Fair Funding for Devon?

Get involved  |  write to your local MP and Councillor

As far as we're aware, just 10% of Devon schools have written a letter to express concern regarding the National Funding Formula. It's not too late to write to your local MP/Councillor to share your views regarding how the NFF will affect your school - see the L I B R A R Y of letters received to date, and also a letter template and lots of useful information to create your own version (see DAPH Update dated 8 December 2016).

Who's written to their local MP and/or Councillor?

Our L I B R A R Y of letters is updated regularly - see letters from Devon schools and responses received from their local MP. If your letter doesn't appear, please send us a copy.

Please remember to send the DAPH Office a copy of your MP/Councillor letters for central filing and inclusion on the DAPH website. Thank you.

One-day workshop for headteachers

with Julia Steward, Chrysalis Leadership Development

The day will help you to understand why it is often difficult for leaders to prioritise their own needs, and provide you with strategies to develop habits which build resilience.   In a supportive group of  your peers,  you will have the opportunity to explore:

  • What we mean by ‘resilience’ and why it matters
  • Models of resilience for leadership
  • The connection between emotional resilience, health and well-being
  • Habits of thinking and behaviour which may undermine resilience
  • The place of values in sustaining or undermining resilience
  • Strategies for increasing resilience
  • Next steps in sustaining resilience for yourself and your school

What are the benefits?

Increased resilience means more sustainable leadership, a greater capacity for supporting others and increased focus on prioritising the important over the immediate.

SEND

SEND Strategy Consultation - NOW LIVE

Consultation begins on Devon’s Strategy for Children & Young People with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities

The way that education, health and social care services are delivered to children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their families has undergone significant change, both nationally and locally.  Since 2014, changes from central government have driven the need to re-design services and review working practices.  These changes have come at a time where increasing demand, both in numbers and complexity of need, is being placed on education, health and social care services.  To view more details and a link to the Consultation  |  READ MORE

The consultation runs from 17 January to 17 March 2017, so please make sure you respond in this time to have your views taken into account.
