Dreaming of a ‘green’ Christmas…

Recycling

Householders are being urged to think of the environment over the festive period and keep recycling to ensure that Devon has a ‘green’ Christmas.

Find out what you can recycle depending on where you live:

For more information on waste and recycling visit the County Council’s recycling centres web page or call 0345 155 1010. For help and advice about domestic rubbish collection please contact your local district or city council.

Contacting the Customer Service Centre

Call centre

From Christmas Eve onwards Devon County Council’s customer service centre will be available Monday to Friday 8.00am – 6.00pm, and Saturdays 9.00am – 1.00pm, and closed on 25, 26 and 27 December and 1 and 2 January. Find opening hours online here.

The telephone number is 0345 155 1015 for general enquiries. Emergency and out of hours cover is in place.

And don't forget you can report a problem online.

Would you pay more council tax to protect local services?

Budget so far

Almost 80% of residents who have responded to our budget consultation say they would. How about you? With further reductions in Government funding, we have to think about what we are able to provide in the future. We’ve been asking residents what they think so we can make informed decisions. Let us know, take part now!
