Invitation to SENCO Focus
Group meeting 22nd November as part of Devon’s SEND peer review
Dear all,
On the 22nd-25th
November Devon will be subject to a SEND peer review. We have invited LGA to
organise this peer review in order for us to better understand where we are in
terms of our progress with the implementation of the SEND reforms.
As part of the review we would like to set
up a SENCO Focus Group meeting in order to give the peers to get the
opportunity to meet with and get the insights and perspectives of SENCOs from
across the county. We are keen to hear your views on what’s gone well and where
you feel further improvements should be made. This is a valuable learning
opportunity for Devon to listen to schools/SENCO’s and recognise the
developments already made as well as identifying what further needs to be done.
The SENCO Focus Group meeting will take
place on Tuesday the 22nd November at County Hall in Exeter from
16.00-17.00. We would strongly encourage as many SENCOs to participate in this
meeting as possible and we would be grateful if you could confirm you
