Preparations are now underway for the DAPH Academies Conference on 4 October 2016. This event was originally being held on 12 October at The Saunton Sands Hotel, however after receiving feedback from delegates who attended the 'MATs High Impact Collaboration' event in June, DAPH has decided to reschedule the Academies Conference to a more central location at Sandy Park Conference Centre in Exeter.
This full day conference is very much a follow-on event for those who attended in June and will provide you with the opportunity to hear excellent speakers including Roger Pope, Chair of the National College for Teaching and Leadership (NCTL) and a further update from Rebecca Clark, Regional Schools Commissioner SW. Additional sessions will include invited guest speakers from established MATs within the South West Region to share their knowledge and experience around the following topics:-
-
Vision, ethos and governance | the role of members, trustees and schemes of delegation
-
System leadership | MAT structures and the role of the CEO
-
Legal | consultation, establishment of a Trust, funding agreements and navigating the complexities of Property & Employment law
-
School improvement strategy | system leadership working within a self – improving system
