Time for tea

Dear Colleague

Earlier in May,  Sue Clarke, Head of Education and Learning, announced her retirement from DCC in a letter to headteachers.

On behalf of the DAPH Executive Committee, we would like to invite primary headteachers to join us for an afternoon cream tea to celebrate Sue’s significant contribution to education and children in Devon and to say a fond farewell ahead of her retirement at the end of August.

Arrangements for this event are as follows:

Date: Tuesday 19 July 2016

Venue: Exeter Golf and Country Club  Topsham Road, Exeter EX2 7AE

Time: between 4.15pm & 6.00pm

A presentation on behalf of all Devon primary schools will be made to Sue at 5.30pm.

RSVP: To assist with catering, please could you confirm that you will be attending by completing an online booking form no later than 12/07/16. Booking is essential.

Can't make it but want to send a message or card?

Any schools or headteachers unable to attend and/or wishing to send a personal message to be included on a large card to Sue should send wording by email to the DAPH Office no later than Friday 15th July please.  Alternatively, we would be happy to pass on any cards for Sue which should be sent c/o the DAPH Office at the address below.

Have we missed anyone?

Finally, we are aware that there are possibly some past DAPH colleagues who may also wish to attend this celebration to pass on their best wishes to Sue. If you have contact details for any former headteachers, please feel free to extend this invitation by forwarding this email but kindly asking that they confirm attendance  or otherwise as above.

We know that Sue is very much looking forward to this informal get together with primary headteacher colleagues and we do hope that you can join us to mark this special occasion.

Yours sincerely

The DAPH Executive Committee
