Update on SEND Training - Primary

Want to find out about Graduated Response to SEND ?

Following on from the DAPH Briefings for SEND held in February and March, we would like to draw your attention to this free Babcock half day training. This will be a particularly useful introduction to the graduated response for working with pupils with additional needs and will help further clarify the processes and thinking around SEND.

Aims of the session:

  • Improved confidence in identification of SEND needs
  • Improved confidence in applying Devon’s SEND pathway, this includes the Devon Assessment Framework (DAF)
  • What tools and paperwork are available to support schools in ensuring the correct provision is in place to meet individual pupils’ needs.

Before the session:

We recommend that you come prepared for the session by thinking of a child in your school about whom you have questions. This child may be new to the school; it may be a child for whom you have questions about your current SEND provision. You will be asked to reflect on this case throughout the session.
