Schools must update their SEN Co-Ordinator (including any end dates), Newly Qualified Teachers and any Qualifications within SAP in preparation for the forthcoming school workforce census. Please see guidance. Due to payroll lockdown and reopening mid-morning Wednesday 20 October, the deadline for amendments has been extended to Friday 22 October 2021.

Changes to the rules for employees travelling outside of the UK
An update on the staffing implications of employees travelling overseas is now available on the schools HR Advisory useful information page on S4S. You must be logged into S4S to view this information.
Senior mental health lead training grant
Schools and colleges can now apply for a senior mental health lead training grant. Updated gov.uk guidance explains what the training covers, who it’s intended for, how to apply for a grant, and how to access a DfE quality assured course.
SchoolsNet has been updated with recent changes to DfE guidance and standard letters.
The COVID-19 report form template has been updated by Public Health Derbyshire. Guidance documents for reporting cases have also been added along with example letters which schools may wish to use for advising parents, located in Related locked documents on the same page. Content is advisory only and there is no version control once printed, so it is recommended to visit SchoolsNet for the latest version of any document.
This includes items regarding LA maintained schools’ de-delegation of funding for 2022-23, and the Local Authority request to use 0.5% of Schools Block 2022-23 to help with DSG deficit and high needs pressures.
