Derbyshire Dialogue - Long COVID

Dialogue

The next session will take place Friday 12 February 2021 at 10.30am

This conversation puts the spotlight on Post COVID Syndrome (Long COVID). Emerging evidence and patient testimony is showing a growing number of people who contract COVID-19 cannot shake off the effects of the virus months after initially falling ill. A senior clinician and commissioner will be joining us at the meeting to explain the symptoms of Post-COVID syndrome, how data is helping us to understand how it impacts on our population, and the Derbyshire health systems response to the condition that includes the launch of the Post COVID Syndrome Assessment service.

To register for this event please click here

An agenda and joining link will be sent out to everyone who has registered a few days prior to the session.

The ‘Derbyshire Dialogue’ project has been set up to start a conversation with our population and those delivering and commissioning services. For further information and to watch previous session recordings please visit the Joined Up Care Derbyshire website

Carers Project

Carers

We recognise that the COVID-19 crisis has had a significant impact on unpaid family carers. The Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS) East Midlands are therefore working with the community interest organisation Sortified, to find out what could work better and what could realistically be delivered now, during the crisis, to improve support for carers.

Sortified would like to talk to carers from across the East Midlands in early February, to capture views, thoughts and information that will be shared with all local authorities to help improve current offers. This valuable project will help us to understand the experiences of carers in the East Midlands over the past year and will provide essential intelligence to help inform Carers Strategies, Short Breaks service design and the local impact analysis of COVID-19.

Derbyshire are looking to nominate 15-20 carers to participate in the research through either phone calls, online meetings or completing surveys.

If you are working with a carers who would be interested in participating in this research, please contact Jude Boyle before 8 February

E-mail: Jude.Boyle@derbyshire.gov.uk

All carers will be need to provide consent to share their personal data (outlined below) with Sortified to engage with the Unpaid Carers Support project.

All information will be treated as confidential and managed in accordance with relevant data protection legislation and guidance in relation to the processing and use of personal data. You have a right of access to information held on you under the Data Protection Act 2018 and all personal data held by Sortified will be deleted upon completion of the project.
