The closing date for parents of year 6 children to make applications for secondary education next September is fast approaching. Please see our latest document to alert and ask you to distribute reminder letters to parents of children who have not yet applied. Please ensure these letters are distributed ahead of the half term break.
Schools are urged to apply for the DfE learning platforms and EdTech platform demonstrator schemes before the schemes close. These are targeted at getting schools free help with installing Remote Learning Platforms and accessing training.

Outstanding fixed term exclusion reports for academic year 2019/2020
For non-RM schools, please note that the deadline for the return of any outstanding fixed term exclusion reports for academic year 2019/2020 is 23 October 2020. This is particularly important this year since the DfE has amended exclusion reason codes and an upgrade to DCC recording/reporting systems, to accommodate this, is scheduled for November 2020.

Loan boxes: an inspirational collection of loan boxes are available for schools, which can be used in your classroom to support delivery of the National Curriculum in an exciting way.
The quick guide for parents/carers on when, and when not, to isolate their child or young person has been slightly amended to make the first two boxes clearer.
