‘My Life, My View’ Emotional Health and Wellbeing Survey – COVID-19 update

The ‘My Life, My View’ survey has been adapted to gather additional information on how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted young people’s lives. The Schools and Health Education Unit will be contacting Derbyshire secondary schools with details of how to take part. A letter from Dean Wallace, Director of Public Health can be found here.

Plans for all children and young people to return to full-time education at the start of the autumn term

The Secretary of State for Education, Gavin Williamson, announced plans for all children and young people to return to full-time education at the start of the autumn term in Parliament yesterday. Further details can be found here.


Supporting pupil and student mental health – free webinar

The Department for Education, Public Health England and NHS England are hosting a free webinar for school and college staff on 9 July to set out how to support returning pupils and students, and a recording will be available to access online afterwards - see DfE - Supporting pupil and student mental wellbeing for further details. This includes hearing from experts on the impacts of the pandemic on pupils’ mental wellbeing and recovery techniques, and from education leaders about the actions they have been taking.
