Our update for providers of adult social care services

January 2017

Annual provider survey now open

Our annual provider feedback survey is open and will close on Thursday 2 February 2017. The responses to the survey help us to understand your experiences of regulation in order to learn from these and improve. We encourage you to take part and would greatly appreciate your views. You can add your response here.

The survey has 15 questions and should take no more than 10 minutes to complete. Please remember to press ‘Finish’ on the questionnaire to submit your response before you close it. Your feedback will remain anonymous and we will share the findings back with you in the spring.

Your views please - proposals for our next phase of regulation

We are now consulting on proposals for our next phase of regulation (closes 14 February 2017). This includes proposals for how we will regulate new and complex types of providers and changes to our assessment frameworks and Key Lines Of Enquiry. You can read and respond to the consultation online

As part of this consultation we are also seeking views on draft updated guidance for providers registering to care for people with learning disabilities, following on from the publication of our Registering the Right Support document in February 2016. You can read more about this part of the consultation here.

Share your experience of working with other services

Our Share Your Experience form can be used by providers as well as the public. We know that adult social care providers work with other providers across all sectors, and we encourage you to tell us when you have concerns or if you have a positive experience to share. You can find the form here.

Payment of fees by direct debit

CQC offer the option for providers to pay their annual fees by direct debit. This is the most secure way to pay and allows payment to be collected over 10 months in equal installments. Read more here.

Updating your contact details

It is important to update your provider or Registered Manager contact details if these change. You can do this either by using the Provider Portal, or by completing a form on our public website.

To use the Provider Portal, log into your account and click 'Registration' on the top purple bar. You can then make changes to your name, email address, and any service contact details in the relevant section.

If you don't have a Provider Portal account, you can use this form to update your contact details.

The Provider Portal is the online system which allows you to send statutory notifications and make changes to your registration in a quick and efficient way. If you are a provider with 10 or fewer locations you should have been invited to create an account. If you fit this criteria but have not been invited to create an account, please contact us at enquiries@cqc.org.uk or call 03000 616 161 (select option 4).
