Updated guidance on factual accuracy
We have updated our factual accuracy guidance for inspectors, providing increased clarity and explanation. Factual accuracy is the opportunity for providers to challenge the accuracy and completeness of the evidence on which the ratings are based. Changes include an update of the form you will receive with the draft report which we recommend you use as this will help your comments be processed more efficiently. We will continue to review our handbooks for providers as part of our current approach to inspections. Read more.

New provider registrations - apply online
If you are applying to register
a new provider with CQC, you should use our online application system.
Applications made online are twice as likely to be accepted as those made using
Word document forms. We’ve also rewritten the online guidance to help
applicants by pointing out common errors and how to avoid them. Read more.
