The Careers and Enterprise Company - COVID-19 support
To support schools, colleges, young people, our employer partners and the wider careers education community during the coronavirus pandemic, we have brought together the latest information, guidance and resources to help keep you connected.
Join The Careers and Enterprise Company for “My Week of Work” where pupils will be able to gain insight into the world of work despite the lockdown thanks to Oak Academy, Learn Live and The Careers & Enterprise Company. (The lessons will continue to be available after w/c 8 June).
The CEC, Oak and Learn Live have worked in partnership to create a whole week’s worth of content aimed at preparing young people for the world of work. Pupils will be able to choose from five key economic sectors in which to gain insight. They will hear from employers, learn about the businesses and complete virtual work tasks. The content has been developed in partnership with employers, school leaders and careers education experts. Please register online.
Securing a place for young people in the nation’s economic recovery - A rapid response to COVID-19
Supporting young people’s employment opportunities – in the immediate and medium term – will be key to ensuring that the UK makes a rapid and full economic recovery from COVID-19. This short briefing note has been prepared by the lead organisations of the Youth Employment Group (YEG): Youth Futures Foundation, Impetus, Youth Employment UK, The Princes Trust and the Institute for Employment Studies.
Coventry Cultural Education Partnership in collaboration with the British Council would like to invite students in year 9 to take part in an introduction to the language and culture of the Arabic-speaking world.
Welcome to the Arab World Virtual Event - Tuesday 23 June, 1.30pm – 3pm
This event will be delivered through a Microsoft Teams webcast, this means that none of the pupils will be able to see or interact with one another. They will be able to ask questions via the Q&A function – all questions will be approved by a moderator. The event will include multiple interactive elements such as Q&A sessions for each speaker and there will be suggested tasks for pupils to complete after the event.
Please register your interest in this event and we will send you the joining instructions to pass onto pupils.
