Catch 22 is working in collaboration with Coventry City Council in order to offer information and prevention advice to parents/guardians surrounding child criminal exploitation and gang affiliation. This is a free event for all to attend.

Memorandum of Understanding
In June this year the Early Years’ Service wrote to maintained schools to highlight that we were in the process of developing a memorandum of understanding, in relation to the delivery of early years funded places in maintained schools. The memorandum of understanding formalises the conditions relating to the delivery of funded places. All maintained schools will be emailed a copy of this document, week commencing 16th September 2019.
Please note this document does not apply to Academies and Independent schools who will have already completed the Early Years Provider Funding Agreement.

A Service of Remembrance led by the Bishop of Coventry will take place on 12 November and will include poems and prayers written by Coventry school children.

Schools' Service of Remembrance
Fearless (Young person’s crime stoppers) offer free training for staff and inputs for students on a wide range of topics, including county lines, gangs and weapons. They are totally free to book and can deliver to pupils from year 7 upwards. Fearless also have teaching materials that can be used by staff in school for follow on lessons.

Coventry Teaching Schools Council CPD Programme 2019-20
Cannon Park is excited and delighted to be hosting a Level 5 AfPE approved Sports Leaders UK course in 2019/20. The course is fantastic CPD for PE leads, HLTAs with responsibility for PE or sports coaches employed in schools. As the course will hopefully lead to sustainable improvements in your school, it is considered very good use of your PE and Sports Premium grant. The course and supply can be funded through your PESP budget and will be run by Steve Busby (Bed and NPQH).

Willmott Dixon have designed an enrichment programme for students to gain an insight into the world of construction. The programme is aimed at year 8 students but can be adapted to suit different year groups.
