As is usual for the last meeting of the summer, the Schools Forum is anticipating a report on the level of school balances. For the last two years academies have shared their equivalent figures in the interests of transparency to be included in this Schools Forum report.
In keeping with the spirit of partnership, and recognising that this is all published information, can I please ask each of you to supply RoseAnne Doggett (email below) with the value of your Restricted General Fund/General Fund as at the 31 August 2018 which should be shown in your financial accounts. I want to be clear that this work does not share individual school balances, with data instead being represented as summary data on a phase and school/academy basis.
Can you please respond with this information by Friday 24 May to RoseAnne.Doggett@coventry.gov.uk
Thank you to schools who have sent through their point of contact/City of Culture champion details. If you have not done this, please could you send the name and email address of your contact to Lucy Lambert - lucy.lambert@coventry.gov.uk.

Coventry Teaching Schools Council currently has places available on the National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL) starting in June 2019. This programme is for those who are, or are aspiring to become, a senior leader with cross-school responsibilities. This nationally recognised senior leadership development programme will provide the skills, knowledge and confidence you need to be a highly effective senior leader in a school.
We have received an NPQ funding update from the DfE: They will continue to fund the full offer up to the end of March 2020, the eligibility criteria remain unchanged, i.e. participants working in category 5 (includes Coventry schools) or 6 areas, and those working in MATs or dioceses which cover those areas, will be eligible.
To book your place, please complete and return the NPQSL booking form or please contact Carol Harris for further information.
If you have any comments, please let us know by contacting lucy.lambert@coventry.gov.uk.
