On 23 April, Coventry's Safeguarding Children Board launched its new Right Help Right Time guidance. It will help professionals to identify the support that a child, young person or family might need and how best this support can be provided. It replaces all previous threshold guidance or levels of need documents.

The new national minimum wage for Apprentices from April 2019 is now an hourly rate of £3.90, schools can offer an increment following successful completion of probation at their discretion to an hourly rate of £4.90.
Apprentices are entitled to the apprentice rate if they're either aged under 19, or aged 19 or over and in the first year of their apprenticeship.
Apprentices are entitled to the minimum wage for their age if they are aged 19 or over, and have completed the first year of their apprenticeship.

A campaign is being launched on 16 May to highlight the risks of household cleaning products - 'take action today, put it away'.
A handy magnetic notepad featuring key safety advice will be handed out to families by home safety officers, public health nurses, health visitors, and parent and toddler groups.

This year’s Summer Reading Challenge is based around Space and the 50th anniversary of the moon landing . We would like volunteers (aged 14 - 18) to support staff with administering the challenge and running activities. We hope that this will support young people in enhancing their CVs, offering them experience in the workplace and building confidence.
