In this issue:
The Government has issued guidelines to poultry owners to reduce the risks of Avian flu currently affecting poultry in England.
The whole of England has now been declared an Avian Influenza Prevention
Zone for the next 30 days.
This means that mandatory enhanced biosecurity measures are in place for all
poultry and captive birds.
The order also requires housing of free range poultry or, where this is
impracticable, separation from wild birds.
More information from the Animal and Plant Health Agency about the current
measures can be found on the GOV.UK
website.
Please share this information with friends, family and neighbours, if you
know they keep poultry or captive birds.
