What's new for November at your local library
|
|
|
November is here and with it comes the annual Chester Literature Festival at Storyhouse. This year’s festival takes place from 9 – 26 November and will see the building filled with 18 days of talks, workshops, performance and events for all ages, interests and passions. For full details of all the events visit Chester Literature Festival 2023 | Storyhouse
The Storyhouse Library team will be getting involved providing free literary activities throughout the festival:
Love Letters to Your Library
Come and collect a blank postcard and tell us what your library means to you. All responses will be displayed in the Storyhouse lobby.
Blind Date with a Book
You can't judge a book by its cover! Borrow a mystery book, wrapped in brown paper, tagged with clues to entice the reader.
Sit for Six
A study by the University of Sussex researchers found reading for as few as six minutes reduced stress by as much as 68 percent. During the festival we invite you to retreat to our reading corner, for just six minutes (or longer if you please!).

We’ve also put together a list of books from all the different speakers and authors – browse the collection here: Cheshire Libraries Catalogue (koha-ptfs.co.uk)
