|
Northwich Library will be opening in its new temporary home alongside the team at Weaver Hall Museum, today (Monday 30 January), while renovation works are carried out on the Witton Street building.
The new temporary library will offer all our usual services, including:
- A selection of the latest fiction and non-fiction titles for adults and children
- Internet access via public computers and free Wi-Fi
- Printing, photocopying and scanning services
- Events, activities and groups
Opening times for the library will be:
- Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday: 9am – 5pm
- Thursday and Friday: 9am – 7pm
- Saturday: 9am – 1pm
We’ll also be running a self-service offer in Brio Northwich Memorial Court, where residents can borrow and return books from a small collection in the town centre, checked regularly by library staff.
Temporary extended opening times at Barnton, Sandiway and Weaverham libraries will cease on Saturday 28 January, and they will return to their standard hours.
Weaver Hall Museum and Library is a warm, welcoming space. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Did you know you can now borrow an iPad from your local library? We’ve just launched LiBS – our new Library iPad Borrowing Scheme. If you want to try out a tablet before buying one yourself or need it for job searching, learning new digital skills or keeping in touch with family and friends, we’ve got you covered.
You can borrow an iPad for six weeks, and they all come with data so you can get online even if you don’t have internet at home. Each device comes with guides to help you get started, as well as a selection of our recommended apps and websites. All you need to borrow one is your library card and a form of ID.
