The Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme, funded by the Department for Education (DFE), helps children across the country to access healthy food and take part in fun activities over the school holidays.
In west Cheshire there will be a range of activity clubs on offer across the borough organised by our local partners.

Cheshire West and Chester Libraries
The Council's Library Service will once again be hosting the Summer Reading Challenge, with this year’s theme being ‘Wild World Heroes’, a celebration of reading nature and action for the environment.
Local libraries will have lots of exciting events and activities planned to get children reading over the holidays. Keep an eye on the social media pages below for details.

Tiny Steps - Tiny Steps are running sessions in the holidays which includes exclusive trips to UA trampolining park, local playbarns and outside enclosed activities. Tiny Steps is a charity that is trying to open a sensory centre and social cafe in Northwich/ Winsford area and runs exclusive sessions for members of children with additional needs and their families. Cheshire Autism Practical Support (ChAPS) - ChAPS provides over 80 ACTIVITIES every month! Regular weekly, fortnightly and monthly sessions like Kidz Clubs, Youth Clubs, Anti Gravity Yoga, Trampolining, Horse Riding, Swimming, Multi Sports, Circus Skills, Animal Therapy, Gym with Games, Gardening, Play Barn, Ice Skating.
New services have just been added to Live Well Cheshire West that are being delivered by the charity Sense:
Sense Virtual Buddying project and Virtual Group The Sense Virtual Buddying project and Virtual Group Sessions is a great way to meet new people and make new friends. Both projects are FREE and open to disabled individuals over the age of 5 who might benefit from this service.

Sense’s Siblings and Young Carers Project is national project, aimed at supporting the wellbeing of young people (aged 5-18) who have a sibling or parent with a disability/additional needs.

Short Breaks
Short Breaks are services that can help families with a disabled child. They give disabled children the chance to have time away from their families, make new friends and have fun. They give parents a break from caring for their child and they give parents the chance to spend time with their other children.
