More than books...
We love to see you coming to the library to choose books, but did you know there are lots of other things you can do while you're here?

Local studies collections
Curious about your local area? Why not browse the local studies collection at your library?
If you're new to an area, it can be a great way to find out more about your new community, and some resources can also help with tracing your family history.
Collections vary, but usually you'll find a combination of books, pamphlets, trade directories, photographs, maps and (on microfilm) local newspapers, census returns and parish registers.

Seating and study spaces
Take a load off and relax for a while in a comfy chair. Read the paper, or read a story to your little ones, wait for the bus, or just catch your breath and watch the world go by - maybe with a hot drink.
Too noisy to study at home? Pop into one of our larger libraries and find a quiet table and chair.
