Get the BorrowBox app
The BorrowBox app means you can read anywhere on any digital device. If you prefer, you can read on a desktop computer instead.
Just login to BorrowBox to see national and local eNewspapers, as well as 1000s of eBooks and eAudiobooks.
New to BorrowBox? Download the BorrowBox app from your app store, and choose Cheshire East from the list of library authorities. You'll need your library card number and password to get started, but once you've got the app you're good to go.

Christmas and New Year opening hours
If you're planning to visit or contact us, our libraries will be operating a revised service over the Christmas period

Tuesday 24 December: All libraries will close at 1pm.

Wednesday 25 - Thursday 26 December: All libraries closed.

Friday 27 December - Monday 30 December: Congleton, Crewe, Macclesfield, Nantwich and Wilmslow libraries open as usual. Holmes Chapel library will also be open on Friday 27 December and Monday 30 December.

Tuesday 31 December: Congleton, Crewe, Macclesfield, Nantwich and Wilmslow libraries open as usual (all will close at 5pm).

Wednesday 1 January: All libraries closed.

Thursday 2 January: All libraries re-open as usual.
In addition, Alderley Edge Library will be closed from 1.00pm on Tuesdays 17, 24, and 31 December as there will be no volunteer sessions on those dates.
