Latest updates to Companies House services

In response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, we’re closely following government guidelines. We have plans in place to maintain services for our customers and to protect the welfare of our employees.

Corporate Insolvency and Governance Act.

The Corporate Insolvency and Governance Bill received royal assent on 25 June and is now an Act.

The measures introduced by the Act will relieve the burden on businesses during the coronavirus outbreak and allow them to focus all their efforts on continuing to operate.

Restarting the voluntary strike off process

From 10 September 2020, we'll restart the process for companies that have applied for voluntary strike off.

The government, in consultation with industry, has produced guidance to help make sure workplaces are as safe as possible.
